THANKSGIVING TO GOD
Thank you, Lord, we raise Your name on high,
For all our forebears, roots of who we are;
Their faith and kindness reached beyond the sky,
They paved our path, both near and from afar.
Thank You for parents’ patience, in their care,
Faithful guides with hearts so full of grace;
Their open minds, both firm and always fair,
They helped us grow and walk in your embrace.
Thank you for childhood, cradle of our fate,
Where wonder bloomed in every glint of light;
Each fleeting moment felt like heaven’s gate,
Each hush a spark of faith, a flame so bright.
Thank you for youth, its storms and restless days,
You were our Rock when waves began to rise;
Through shattered dreams and ever-changing ways,
Your light still shone within our darkest skies.
Thank you for life as grown-ups, vast and wide,
With questions deep, with burdens hard to bear;
Through seasons rough, You never left our side,
Your wisdom echoed in each answered prayer.
Thank you for home, where hearts in union beat,
Where grace entwines our bonds, no force can sever;
Our children bloomed in You, their lives complete,
Your breath ignites our peace, our joy forever.
For labors, ventures, steps both small and vast,
For works unfinished, those the world applauds,
You see the beauty in our flaws amassed,
And turn our sorrows into harvest’s odds.
Thank you for work, steps both small and vast,
The things we’ve done, both finished and begun;
You see the beauty in our flaws amassed,
And turned our pain to harvest in the sun.
Thank you for failures, where doubt held fast,
You stood unseen, a whisper in the night;
For triumphs, mirrors of Your mercy cast,
You are the Source, the Path, the End, the Light.
And when old age comes softly to our door,
Let us still sing and glorify Your Name;
Your wisdom, healing wounds we can’t ignore,
Will lead us to a dawn no end can claim.
Thank You for grace, an ocean without a shore,
For Christ, our bridge to life that cannot cease;
Thank You for Love, which storms can’t floor,
For Heaven promised, Your gift of timeless peace.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
