SOLIDARITY

“Together, we’re stone, apart, we’re sand,”
says an old proverb still strong in this land.
Its truth hits deep in uncertain times,
a call to unite through chaos and climbs.

Even before the storm clouds grew,
so many struggled, both old and new.
In towns and fields, the pain was real,
with wounds too deep for time to heal.

Politicians, locked in their seat-bound games,
fought with words, pointed fingers, blamed.
While they argued and staged their play,
the poor kept sinking day by day.

Then came the storm, a furious tide,
it tore down homes, it broke our pride.
The strongest walls were tossed around,
and even loud critics made no sound.

Before the winds had barely gone,
the floods rose fast and carried on.
Houses and cars just slipped away,
and morals, too, were led astray.

Worse still, some turned greed to gold,
raising prices, turning cold.
No shame, no heart, no helping hand,
just silence when the people stand.

So hear again that ancient voice,
it’s time to act, to make a choice.
North or south, we share this pain,
let kindness flow like healing rain.

Drop the fight, the endless blame,
and light again our common flame.
For rice and water, land and sea,
all thrive when there’s unity.
